I am obsessed with all things digital, with a penchant for pushing projects that little bit further.
1.) MY PAST
I spent six years as a Senior Reporter for NWN Media in North Wales, working across a series of titles. In addition to day-to-day news, I was also the Entertainment Editor, Film Critic, and Internet Champion.
My biggest claim to fame there? Managing to convince the big chiefs to start using these new-fangled social networks like Facebook and Twitter when ZERO businesses used them. That snagged me an Innovation Award.
2.) MY PRESENT
In 2012 I started working at the University of Hertfordshire as a Web Content Coordinator. Over the years I have found myself neck-deep in SEO, AIs, UX inspections, front-end development work, account management, project managing microsites, implementing CRMs, and everything in-between.
More recently I have been diving into digital marketing in a big way (since getting myself a CAM Diploma in it), whether that be crafting Snapchat campaigns, or spearheading award-winning projects like Clearing Live (check out the portfolio).
3.) MY FUTURE
Who knows! Digital marketing is just getting more and more exciting, and more essential for businesses and organisations.
With my grounding in the bricks-and-mortar of web design and content creation, and my passion for new awesome trends and toys; it’s a great time to be a marketing professional.
